My Pyramid is a helpful website that can tell you about nutrition. Even though most people think that all fat is bad for you, they’re wrong. Even though too much fat is bad, fat must be in your diet for a healthy weight. The category you need the most food from is the grain category. Grains are important for energy because they contain carbohydrates. You also need a lot of dairy products and vegetables. Even though some may look and taste bad, it is good to get vegetables in your diet. Fruits are important too, but fruit juice isn’t as good for you as the fruit itself. The final category is meat and beans. Get your food grilled, boiled or roasted because it’s a lot better for you than when it’s raw. Also, try to get food high in protein, and try to get a variety, rather than just a lot of one. The food pyramid is the key to a healthy lifestyle!

Sour Patch Kids

Sour Patch Kids is a candy I got on Halloween. I love everything sour, so obviously I would like this. Even though it is a small size, it is big in bad nutrition. For example, in one small bag, there are 60 calories! There are also 10 grams of sugar, but no other nutrition values. No protein, no fat and minimal sodium. Yet there are 14 grams of carbohydrates, which is 5% of a daily value based on a 2000 calorie diet. You are getting all of this bad stuff, while none of the good stuff. Sour Patch Kids, while delicious, are extremely bad for you, even in their small size.
